Located just outside downtown Lakeland, Florida, Pneuma Christian School (PCS) was born from the hearts and vision of Senior Pastors Shawn and Abigail Scarborough.

Pneuma Christian School is a ministry of NUMA Church, an Assemblies of God congregation in Lakeland, Florida. As a Spirit-filled, Bible-believing school, PCS is committed to providing an educational experience where faith is not simply an addition to the curriculum, but the foundation upon which teaching, learning, and student development are built.

PCS is located within NUMA Church's Joy Center, a facility recently transformed through extensive renovations. While the building’s transformation took less than two years, the vision for Pneuma Christian School began long before construction. When Pastors Shawn and Abigail became the senior pastors of Family Worship Center in 2020, they brought with them a passion for building a church that would impact the local community and a vision for a school that would invest in the lives of students and families every day.

At Pneuma Christian School, the Gospel is at the center of everything we do. Our mission is to provide a fresh approach to education in which students are nurtured, rooted in biblical truth, and equipped with strong academic and spiritual foundations. We intentionally integrate faith into every subject, fostering an environment where students grow in knowledge, develop Christlike character, and are encouraged to live out their faith in their everyday lives.
